Broken Car Key Extraction in Dubai: Removed Without Damage

Snapped your car key in the door or ignition in Dubai? We come to you and extract the broken piece without damaging the lock, then cut you a new key on the spot. Don't dig at it with pliers or glue — that pushes the fragment deeper. Tell us where the key broke and the car's make and model for a fixed quote.

Why do car keys break in the lock?

Usually wear, not force. A key that has been copied from a copy gets slightly thinner each time until it is weak enough to snap. Cold-stiff locks, a worn ignition barrel that needs jiggling, and heavy keyrings that stress the blade all contribute. If your key needed wiggling to turn, it was warning you.

How do you get the broken piece out?

With extraction tools designed for the job — fine hooks and extractors that grip the fragment without scratching the lock's wafers. The lock stays in the door or ignition the whole time. What matters is what you don't do first: superglue and tweezers push the piece deeper or glue it in, turning a simple extraction into a lock replacement.

Can you make me a new key from the broken pieces?

Yes — in most cases. If you kept both halves, we read the cuts from them and cut a fresh key to factory depth, which is better than copying a worn key. If the tip is lost inside the lock, we extract it first, then cut from the recovered pieces. The new key is tested in every lock before we leave.

What if the lock itself is damaged or worn?

Extraction sometimes reveals the real problem: a worn lock that gripped the key too hard. If the lock turns roughly with the new key, we will tell you straight and can repair or replace the door lock or ignition barrel in the same visit, so the new key does not snap the same way.

Broken Car Key Extraction: questions we hear

My key broke in the ignition. Can you still extract it?

Yes. Ignition extraction is a standard job — we remove the fragment with the barrel in place, then cut a new key and test it in the ignition before we leave.

I tried glue and it didn't work. Is the lock ruined?

Not necessarily, but tell us you tried it. Dried glue changes the approach and sometimes means the lock must come apart. Honesty now saves a second visit later.

Can you cut a new key if I lost one half of the broken key?

Usually yes — we extract the trapped half from the lock and read the cuts from both pieces together. Bring everything you have, even fragments.

Will the new key also break?

Not if the cause is fixed. We cut to proper depth (not a copy-of-a-copy) and check the lock's condition. If the lock is worn and gripping keys, we will say so and offer the repair.
